  : Great stop-off on the way to or from holidays in France. Charming Auberge in a very quaint village. Excellent - if expensive - restaurant with all the old school French haute-cuisine tricks - chefs in toques finishing dishes from trolleys table-side; fine wines in extraordinary decanters. But with some modern touches: vegetable based dishes from the kitchen garden; one of the wine pairings was a beer, another a "soda" made from herbs from the garden. Breakfast really excellent value at 11 for all home made bread, brioche, fruits from the garden etc
  : Choice in the restaurant is limited to two expensive fixed menus, so would only really work as a single night stop. Don't think anyone would want the same 92 or 182 tasting menu two nights in a row! Fantastic experience though it was.

  : Beautiful auberge in rural village next to Compigne Forest. Excellent staff, lovely dining room and garden, and superb suite.
  : The change from great country to cooking to fine dining. It just seems out of place (though the food is delicious) but came as a bit of a shock after an 8 year gap as fine dining requires a different mindset. Was also a bit surprised that breakfast was not served outside in the stunning garden. Seemed a waste in summer in fabulous weather.

  : the area is very nice and the staff was quite helpful
  : the hotel was noisy, we could hear other guests taking their shower. the bed was too short - i am 179 cm tall, and my husband is 187. moreover, there was a leak in the ceiling with water dripping on the floor.

  : the location was beautiful and the exterior and garden were lovely.There was plenty of free parking and the standard double room we had was a good size.
  : Our room was a long distance down a windowless corridor, from reception and the only staircase, the only lighting was on a series of timers spaced at various intervals which was awkward and inconvenient.The decor was dated and a little tired.

  : Small but comfortable room with lovely extras. Carpet could have been better. Exceptional restaurant . Beautiful walking in the forest.
