: a medieval property hidden in Normandy countryside. For us perfect coming from a busy town. No meals, self service b/fast, fridge, toaster, m/wave, french bread, coffee, tea, very nice & spotlessly clean. Beautiful bed. The spiral staircase is not for anyone with bad backs or new knees etc but we loved it! Denis is great & speaks gd English.
: Difficult to find as out in the sticks.

: It was not what we expected - we had to prepare our own Breakfast up a VERY steep staircase - had to take our sliced Bread up 2 flights of stairs the night before ! Certainly No fresh bread or croissants - in the end it took about an hour Out of our day working out where to find the coffee etc . We would very much have preferred to have our breakfast Served to us at the table downstairs !
: The owner was very rude and unwelcoming . He never asked If it we would like to have so many steep stairs to contend with in his pigeonnier - I am recovering from a foot operation so it was especially inconvenient . In addition, unfortunately it was very dark when we arrived and the place was consequently exceedingly difficult to find . The parking was up some stairs by the house, along the drive , out of the gate and across the road. The parking was a space outside the gates of the house across the road !! Not especially safe or private and a very long way for 70 year olds to carry all their things for the night . When I tried to explain why the place was difficult to find in the dark he accused me of not being able to understand English !! ( he had sent me several texts while We were trying to find the place )
