  : We stayed here while on a bicycle tour of the Neckartalradweg. We had a three-person "suite" that was on two levels at the very top of the building -- one bedroom and bathroom on the first level, and second bedroom, bathroom, full kitchen, living room, and balcony on top level accessed by a staircase. The suite was huge, well appointed, and exceeded our expectations (it's basically a vacation apartment). The man who checked us in (owner, presumably) was very nice, although I had a hard time understanding his Swabisch German dialect (not sure if he speaks English). The hotel has a secure area to store bikes overnight under cover and behind a locked gate. The breakfast buffet was quite good, with lots of choices and good service. Although it's across the river, the main Altstadt is a very short walk away (five minutes). There's also a huge Kaufland supermarket just across the street from the hotel. The hotel owner recommended a riverside biergarten for dinner, which was excellent. We'd stay here again, but perhaps not in hot weather (see notes below).
  : (This is probably only relevant to the attic suite/vacation apartment) Despite how nice the room was, our stay there is remembered as the worst of our trip because how incredibly hot it was in the room since it's basically in the building's attic (dachgeschoss). We begged for at least a fan, and they did manage to find us one small fan that didn't help much. Although it was somewhat warm outside overnight, the top floor was much hotter due to lack of airflow (yes we had all windows open) and the fact that it was in the attic area. It did have tilt-out roof windows, but these were locked closed; if we could have opened them I think it would have helped a lot. We'd happily stay here again, but not in hot weather.
