  : The breakfast was perfectly fine and satisfactory prior to an homeward journey of around 3+ hours by car. The venue was chosen for its closeness to a family event we were attending on a Saturday afternoon. We needed satisfactory (ie clean and comfortable) overnight accommodation only, no fancy requirements or specific needs. The hosts were welcoming, cheerful and helpful - and provided good service.
  : No particular thing or service failed expectations; the venue provides excellent access for flights in and out of Southend on Sea airport principally, but as we experienced would be equally convenient and accessible for anyone attending an event at nearby Apton Hall.

  : There were nice hosts. We were shown around the house of where the facilities were. The bedroom was quiet and cosy. The breakfast was nice and ready the following morning.
  : That the bathroom is seperate from the bedroom ie shared. The shared driveway

  : I had a good greeting from the owner. Room was a nice size .Parking was ok on private grounds .Pub opposite for food and take aways within walking distance
  : I was disappointed that I could not eat food in the room . I travel extensively and I am careful with eating in the room ie no smelly curries etc. So I was upset when I was stopped taking food into my room .This is the first time this has happened and I was not happy with this rule. I ended up eating in the dining room but I was told this is not usually for guests to use this for take away food .

  : The BNB in located near Southend Airport, so it is very convenient for those who fly out early. I came to visit a relative in the vicinity who lives a short busride away. There is also a railway station which takes you in the Centre of London in under an hour. Across the road there is THe Anne Boleyn a typical English Pub with a very large offer of dishes and drinks at affordable prices. The BNB itself : excellent breakfast and friendly owners. Don't go there with the expectation to be in the middle of a bustling centre. It is away from shopping areas etc. But they can easily be reached by train and bus.
  : The walls are not sound proof, so one has to hope for quiet neighbours. That was the case when I was there, although I did get woken up when she came in and when she went to the (shared) bathroom (a very well equiped and tidy one) in the middle of the night. I should have brought some earplugs and I wouldn't have noticed..
