: Clean, warm and comfortable. Very good breakfast. Mainly German-speaking staff but helpful and hospitable even when your own German isn't good enough. The staff made an extra effort for a special request I made before arriving, which was very good of them. Diedenskopf ski station is very close, and quite good at the top. The Warth lifts (Salober, JgarAlp, SteffisAlp are about 20-25 min by car). Note that the drive up can be difficult in freezing conditions with fresh snow and ice. There are buses as another option when conditions are bad. The breakfast is good and plentiful: juice, selection of healthy cereals, yoghurts, some fruit and salad, different types if bread, coffee. There is also ham and cheese, and usually an egg is offered. The restaurant also serves meals in the day and evening. The food is good and fresh and there is a lot of emphasis on using local and regional produce as much as possible.
: I knew to expect it, but some of the accommodation is a short walk from the main building, where the breakfast is served. It is not a big problem, just a walk of a few dozen metres. Also, the breakfast begins at 0800, which might be a bit late if you want to be on the first lifts, especially if going to Warth or further.
