: Friendly and welcoming pub set in a lovely location. The view from the beer garden is quite special. Food was wholesome and excellent value.
: The weather (but that was hardly the pub's fault!)

: Cosy atmospheric bar and tasty food. Comfortable bed and reasonable shower pressure
: Heating was controlled by temperature down in the bar. This meant our bedroom was cold during the evening and then sweltering during the night when the fire went out in bar area.

: Very nice country pub with very good accommodation. Excellent evening meals at a competitive price. We would definitely return when we are next in the area

: Breakfast and the dinner previous evening was excellent. Location was secluded in heart of countryside but relatively easy to find and get to.
: Local food and beer and also warm welcome and homely atmosphere including open fire in lounge area.

: The quality of the meals was good. However, our break away was spoiled by the room. It was described as a small double- it was actually a single room with a three- quarter bed squeezed into the space. A small gap around the bed with no storage- together with a metal framed bed made our stay extremely uncomfortable. Such a disappointment as the staff were really accommodating.
: An accurate description of the room would have prevented us from having two nights of unpleasant time trying to sleep
