  : The hostel is close-ish to the remote West Fjords one of our favorite places in Iceland but far from the most touristy areas. I stayed there with two friends and were given our own room with three beds which definitely made our experience pleasant. The hostel is quite small so there arent too many people and the shared spaces (bathroom and kitchen) are clean. Towels for showering were provided. A potential downside could be that the town nearby has nothing going on, so planning ahead and bringing breakfast and snacks is necessary, but that was no issue for us. Also the room had only one plug to charge our phones which could have been a problem for a group of non friends sharing that room. We never met any of the hostel staff but checking in and out was smooth anyway. Overall, we really enjoyed our two night stay. This was the best hostel experience we had in Iceland.

  : Beautiful location. Liked the hot tub in the garden. The kitchen had plenty of space and lots of crockery etc.
  : Guests were cooking till midnight so we couldnt sleep before then. Hardly any contact with the owners.

  : The private hot pool outside to look at the auroras was a treat! Very cosy and friendly atmosphere. We were very well welcomed.

  : This basic hostel provided large kitchen, dining and lounge spaces. The hostel is cosy with lovely views over the town to the fjord. Beware: no shops are open in this village on Sunday or Monday and it's 100km drive to the get supplies.....
  : There was little acoustic separation between the rooms.
