  : Great Location inside Old Town. Upgrade upon arrival which was a nice surprise. Host is in the Ceramics Atelier around the corner from the actual rooms. Quiet at night and just steps away from the fort.

  : Another unexpected gem! It felt like such a privilege to be able to stay in that beautiful house full of bougainvilleas (my favourite!) over the owner's renowned ceramic atelier. Even though in November it can get a little bit chilly, due to all the wood (roof, windows, shutters, floor) the room has a very warm feeling to it. Yes, it is small and the kitchen is almost miniscule, but it's enough. You're not supposed to stay in all day anyway, but go out and explore equally beautiful Rethymno :-) For breakfast I recommend whipping something up in the kitchen and then take the food and the chairs outside in the sun. There is a small table outside. There is no parking lot of course, but (at least during off-season) it is possible to find a free parking space next to the fortress. Just ask the owner before you arrive.
  : With better tools (e.g. knives, peeler) the kitchen could be upgraded considerably. Besides that we loved everything.
