  : The location and view were just wonderful. Pension and rooms were very clean. Our Hostess (family business) was just worth a very particular praise, so active, so courteous, so correct, she adds a big + to the property. We were so happy that we would love to make up a bigger group of friends and organise a stay there, to enjoy the calmness of the place and its location as well as hiking in its neighbourhood.
  : The mattress, pillows were not comfy enough. The absence of e.g. a mini-bar or water kettle made the stay somehow restricted. Breakfast was acceptable but lacking choices. Nevertheless, considering that the property is only a 2-star one, its cleanliness, services, beautiful location and new furnishings make it easily a 3-star+

  : The views from our balcony on the front side of the Gasthof were spectacular! (Ask for a balcony room when booking, and well in advance!) You feel like you're in heaven when you look out the window of your room here... mountains, lake, green meadows, open sky. Perched on the top of a ridge, the Alpine views from the Urzn are wonderful to behold, morning, noon and night. The hardworking staff of the adjoining restaurant are helpful and efficient, and most can speak some English. The breakfast bar is good and plentiful, and you can get your dinner there in the restaurant (not included in your room price) until 8:00 p.m. The price of room and breakfast is reasonable, a great value for the gorgeous location.
  : You really need your own car to come and go from the Urzn, which is a 15 minute drive up the ridge from Altmnster on the Traunsee. Though there may be a local bus up from Altmnster, it operates on a very limited schedule. The drive up switch backs is spectacular, but at times a bit nerve wracking for those not used to mountain driving, The accommodations in the Gasthof are simple, but adequate. Not for people who are looking for luxury. There are no elevators, and you have to carry your own luggage up stairs to your room. Also, the restaurant closes early, so if you're wanting to eat dinner after 8 pm., you would have to drive back down into town, a scary proposition after dark.
