: The cottage is really nice and they also provided a crib for our son (2 years old). The surroundings are just great to disconnect and enjoy the view, the silence or the sounds of insects and the wind! We enjoyed walks around the property. Also the kitchen is well equipped which we considered a plus!

: Herdade da Maroteira was a lovely cork farm 45 minutes drive outside of Evora. The scenery from the accommodation was superb and we were able to sit at our picnic table and enjoy this view while sipping the farms wine. (yum) The apartment was shabby chic and worked well for two couples. The owner and staff were attentive in making our stay pleasurable. The jeep tour of the farm was superior with Anthony a great guide. The restaurant, just down the road, that the farm staff organized a dinner for us at was delicious and consisted of local specialties. We would highly recommend the jeep tour with lunch and/or dinner. If you are okay with a longish drive back into Evora to see the sites then this location will provide you with a lovely rural feel.
: The farm has five dogs which we were aware of prior to our booking. They wander the property and are all friendly. Unfortunately, we were awakened in the early morning (4:30) with all dogs barking for over an hour without any intervention by staff. Apparently the "new" neighbour has four dogs and they all set each other off. Had an intervention taken place, we would have been able to rate this accommodation higher. The owner will be addressing the issue. Additionally, there is a leakage in the shower that needs attention.
