  : Convenient location by the river and still close to centre. Room was well decorated and good size for 3 nights. Lovely breakfast in the restaurant each morning and staff were very helpful!

  : The location was fine although it would have been helpful if a map could have been provided with walking routes into town. Lots of choice at breakfast. Nice to stay in a converted listed buildings. Sloe gin in room.
  : Room was small stuffy and too hot. The window view was almost totally blocked by metal housings for air conditioning - literally just outside the window. When the air con / extractors were in use the room was also noisy with a constant background noise like sitting on an aircraft. There was a dripping tap in the bathroom which the staff said they knew about but hadn't been fixed. I asked for bedding without feathers and got feather bedding. Fortunately I always carry antihistamine tablets. There was only a small mirror in the bathroom which wasn't in reach of the hairdryer when in use. We were both unable to send emails when connected to the hotel WiFi. Fine as soon as we left the room. I understand that some of the rooms are spacious and have windows with views but Fobney was cramped and claustrophobic. Also it isn't a converted biscuit factory as advertised.

  : All the little extras where a great surprise. Decor and cleanliness were great. I didn't stay for breakfast so unfortunately can't comment. Great value for money.

  : Room very tastefully furnished and a good size. Lovely touch of a small decanter of complimentary sloe gin in the room and additionally two large bottles of complimentary water. Nicely appointed bathroom with good shower and good quality towels. All the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and polite giving the place a very welcoming atmosphere.
  : The access to the bedrooms is outside via a metal staircase which was not to our liking. The window in the bedroom was almost impossible to open. We did query this and the staff were very polite and helpful but said it needed to be pushed hard which in our view really needed fixing. The location is a little off the beaten track in a riverside residential although still in the middle of Reading. Breakfast was acceptable but not particularly well executed
