  : The staff was friendly
  : The elevator was a bit scary with how it shook and the noise that flowed. Our towels weren’t that clean. Items from a previous stay were left in the microwave.

  : Nothing. Our reservation was canceled and we learned of it as we tried to check in.
  : We were told by staff our card was declined and therefore the reservation was cancelled. I explained we had a lost debit card and ordered a new one with a different number and could just pay with the new card. I was then told the hotel was sold out. I reviewed my emails from both Home 2 Suites and Booking.com and had NO emails or texts to alert me there was an issue. It was late, after a long day of driving, and raining, and we had to find another place to stay for the night. Very disappointing. We felt very mislead by the whole process. The reservation process said no more why would be held or charged—pay when you arrive, etc.. I don’t trust the hotel was actually sold out, to be honest.
