  : The hotel is convenient to the beach, the main touristic areas of coffee shops and restuarants and shops, as well as at the cycle paths and walking paths, around the lagoons and to the beach. Easy to find from toll roads between Porto and Lisbon. Clean, attractive, well-maintained. Room size is good, bed very comfortable with a mattress topper and enough blankets (it was raining and cooler during my visit), cupboard space is generous, bathroom is older but immaculate and lots of hot water. The lift is really fast, and the view from the Quarto Duplo Superior is great - over the lagoon, and to the beach, and of the sunset. Breakfast was generous, staff were kind and helpful in check-in, and breakfast, desk is manned till late (so good if you're travelling alone). I had a very comfortable and relaxed visit and will be coming back

  : The bed was quite comfortable, with a double mattress system (thin, softer memory foam mattress on top, harder regular mattress below) and some memory foam pillows as well. In general, the room was quite clean although there wasn't much to clean anyway We got a free room upgrade, from the standard to the superior double room, apparently due to some reservation mixups The electrical sockets on the rooms (at least the "Superior" rooms) have USB-A and USB-C ports built into them Rooms have a small TV with Prime Video and Netflix The staff were accommodating of special dietary needs, in this case, lactose intolerance
  : The entire hotel is small and claustrophobic, with very tight everything (corridors, elevators, rooms, reception, etc...)There is no lobby to speak of, it's a small room with some chairsAlthough there is parking, it is a dirt road and uncovered. There are also a lot of stray cats which will piss on cars/motorcycles and scratch paint / leather seats / tyres. I don't think this is the hotel fault, but beware anywayStill regarding the cats, there's an ever present cat pee smell throughout the hotelNo AC anywhereThe rooms are quite small, with barely enough room to leave your things. There isn't even space for a night stand on the left side of the roomAlthough said rooms were generally quite well clean, the mini-fridge (which just lays in the middle of the room) was quite dusty and smelled extremely bad when the door was opened.Said mini-fridge was also unplugged when we arrived (probably by the previous tenants). We tried plugging it in and quickly understood why, as it is extremely noisyRegarding extreme noise, the bathroom has been rebuilt recently (or appears to have been, anyway). This means it is fitted with some modern bathroom furniture, but the sewer system has been badly built and seems to be missing a ventilation pipe. What this means is, any time you or any other room in that floor flushes the toilet or takes a shower, an extremely loud noise, akin to a train engine will be heard throughout the entire floor as the sewers backflow in order to allow air into the system and the toilets to be flushed. This woke us up at least 4 times throughout the night!The lamps on the ceiling did not turn on with any of the switches we could find. There were two switches that did nothing, so we believe that the bulbs were blown / lamps were brokenBreakfast was nothing special, with not much to choose from.
