  : The Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They always acknowledged our requests and accommodate them as best they could. The Breakfast was acceptable. The room floors are made of tile, which makes it a bit fresher and the air-conditioning is like a home unit, so you can control the temperature yourself. The view from the room to the ocean was also nice. The rooms are pointed towards the city of Portimo and you can see the Lagos and the ocean to your left. The rooms are also very spacious. Good swimming towels.
  : The rooms are dated, just as described by the other reviews. That would not be a major issue but in this case it means everything is very old and it creates hygiene issues: - There is black mold build up in the bathtub silicone. - The toilet smelled on the day of arrival even though it was cleaned. We requested an extra cleaning, which worked, but after we flushed it once, the smell of urine returned. - The bath towels and bed covers are old and had stains. The beach with direct access is not ocean beach it's estuary beach shared with the Marina, so it's not very clean. The breakfast was acceptable but there were many things that made you feel cheated: - Filter coffee was burnt every day (I was there a week) - Requested an expresso and received some capsule coffee that tasted like supermarket cheaper brand. - Label said Nutella, but it was a lower supermarket brand that did not taste the same - Multiple instances I got leftover donuts or croissants that were from the day before (you only know when you put them in your mouth and they were stale) - Every day at least one of our coffee mugs was dirty I cannot accept these mistakes in a 4 star hotel asking more than 200Euro a night The food available during the day is very poor: 2 types of toast and 2 types of salad. The price was high, which could be ok if the toast was not just a small toast bread (not even good Portuguese bread) with some unseasoned salad next to it. The night restaurant is also very poor. We requested a smoked salmon starter and it was literally a dry toasted bread (like the toasted bread in a box you buy in the supermarket) with a slice of smoked salmon on top, literally every other restaurant in the region was better. The pool and beach do not have easy access to them. If you have a wheelchair or a baby stroller this hotel will not be able to accommodate you. The place is isolated so car is a must.

  : The service at the pool isn't great, very little choice of food and drinks Dinner menu is the same not impressed small portions as well Breakfast is okay but some of the mornings was short of eggs or beans For the price of hotel it should be much better, i think hotel saving on food which is shouldn't be because price for the hotel is high.And it goes to your room price anything you order from pool or dinners have to pay separately at check-out Very quiet hotel no evening entertainments no life in the hotel

  : There was a nice beach and a couple of good restaurants locally. Beautiful scenery and good views from the room. Check in staff were pleasant and helpful.
  : Lots, they are penny pinching and pound foolish. There was a safe in the room BUT they wanted you to pay to rent a lock for the safe. Poolside menu options are ridiculously limited and substandard. Asked for twin beds and didn't get them asked house keeping twice to no avail. Breakfast options limited and staff were appallingly poorly mannered. They did not want to be there, not one single greeting to ourselves and did not see to other guests. Not one word was said to me. The hotel is 30 years old and very tired. Not sure if it's been renovated since opening. struggling to rate the place 3 stars. The property is also very isolated so you need a car and even with Google maps it's hard to get there if you miss one turn. Hard to get a taxi to come to the place is what one customer was told.

  : Breakfast was poor. There was no tea or coffee facility in room. No complimentary bottle of water. There was an extra charge for the safe.
