  : Lovely villa high up on the hills behind Positano with stunning views of the Amalfi coast. Gorgeous terrace and gardens with a delightful little plunge pool. If you want a relaxing break where all you want to do is chill at the villa and soak up the views and sun, as long as you bring enough food for your stay, this is the place for you.
  : The villa is in Nocelle which is at the end of a windy road out of Positano. The road ends in a car park that you cant park in unless you want to spend a fortune (which you will in Positano). Youll need to find somewhere to park along the road which is hit and miss - especially in summer. There are lots of steps in Nocelle but this isnt a problem if you are in good health and dont have young children. There is a tiny, extortionate shop (7 for a melon) which opens/closes when it wants to. Buy your provisions before you arrive as there is no where else to buy food. There are a couple of restaurants in Nocelle too but you will need to book and have deep pockets. After reading other reviews, I knew that the only way to get into Positano was by public bus. What I didnt know was that the bus runs once an hour, is often up to 40 mins late and is a mini bus so there are never enough seats. This is usually ok when embarking in Nocelle as it is the beginning/end of the circuit but in Positano it is a horrific experience trying to get onto the bus. Men fighting and arguing, children crying. You need sharp elbows to get on then stand like sardines. If you fail to get on (which happened to us several times) you risk another 1hr 40 min wait for the next bus or 50 to get a taxi up the hill to Nocelle. This villa is lovely but if you plan to explore the Amalfi coast, do not stay here as the problems with transport ruined our holiday. Driving is out of the question due to traffic and no parking so you are very isolated. Think carefully before booking about what you want from your holiday.

  : The location is a mixed blessing. There is an amazing view. But it is far from anywhere else and difficult to get to. The view is a good consolation for the detachment.
