  : The location in the centre of the city was great - a busy street but a wonderful place to be. The room was a great size and very clean, Very comfortable bed.

  : Location is decent, on the main walking street of old town. Update: after I posted this review, the manager of the hotel called me and made an honest, concerted effort to find out what went wrong and how they can avoid this experience. He offered to compensate me on a future stay, which I appreciate, but doubt I would use, as I'm not planning to be back in Porto. This conversation certainly improved my perception of the hotel, so I am updating this review accordingly
  : Not a good value for the money. Staff was friendly, but immediately forgot to bring me a set of bedsheets for the pullout sofa that I asked for upon checking in. When I got back after dinner, ended up sleeping on a bare sofa, which was not ideal.

  : This is a hard review to write because there some very nice things about this hotel and some very frustrating parts of the experience as well. The hotel staff were excellent and very friendly. We were located in an offsite apartment rather than the hotel room we thought we booked. The apartment was larger than the room we thought we booked and included a kitchen, which was nice. The hotel itself where we registered looked very nice but we did not see those rooms. The offsite apartment was a two minute walk from the hotel and both locations were very good. Both buildings were very clean and the bed was very, very comfortable. Food at the hotel restaurant was creative, refined, healthy and tasty.
  : The check in process, including sitting for almost 25 minutes before beginning to get registered and moved to our apartment, took over 45 minutes. This is not acceptable for a hotel of this caliber. Their staff moved our luggage fromthe main hotel to the apartment, including carrying it up three flights of stairs. The description indicated there was an elevator but that did not apply to the apartment so we walked up and down three floors of stairs multiple times each day as we left and returned the apartment. The room included a voucher for free drinks at the hotel restaurant but we could not use it with our dinner that we booked in part to take advantage of the voucher. There was an exclusion on the voucher that could be interpreted, I guess, to exclude meals for the drink but the language was not at all clear on that point.
