  : The room was spacious but simple. The bed was very firm, and the air conditioner works VERY well. Walk out the front door, turn right, and you are a 5-minute walk from several good restaurants and the city square (Piazza Bartolo Longo). You will also pass the entrance to the Pompeii ruins that is closest to the ancient amphitheater (made famous by Pink Floyd). If you turn left as you exit, you are a 10-15 minute walk from a few more restaurants, a souvenir market, and another entrance to the Pompeii ruins. There is also a grocery store near the roundabout if you want to stock up on some water, etc. They arranged a ride to pick me up from the airport (80 Euros), and gave me a ride back to the airport (70 Euros) at the end of the trip. Be aware- there is no elevator!
  : The shower was very small. I have very broad shoulders, and had to be very careful when I tried to turn around in the shower. (Hot and cold water worked great and there was plenty of water pressure.) The bottom of the shower doors could use a good scrubbing, but otherwise everything looked acceptable.

  : Convenient location to Pompeii, walking distance to everywhere. Room was clean and had all the basics. Air con worked well and was a great relief from the heat. Host was friendly.
  : Bed was hard and squeaked every time you moved. Shower was also very small.

  : Excellent experience at Hotel Il Vecchio Fauno. The hotel is only 50 yards from the (quieter) entrance to the Pompeii ruins and within walking distance of the station and the pedestrian area. The room was spacious with a striking view onto the mountains. The breakfast was copious and our host Daniele very helpful, attentive and responsive from the time of booking to the time we departed. I would highly recommend staying at Hotel Il Vecchio Fauno. Thanks again for your warm welcome!
