  : It seems there were few guests in the hotel so I understand the need to keep breakfast expenses low. However for a hotel of this status the breakfast was very modest. Also, the breakfast staff are nice people but poorly trained. Definitely a management problem, not a staff problem. Food and cutlery are poorly organized with cutlery and glasses missing and constantly in need of reminders to bring more. However the worst impression is that you are in a Russian hotel. All the staff, beginning with the front desk, begin their conversations with you in Russian. Most, but not all, eventually switch to Ukrainian, - although almost as if this wasn't normal. As this was my first visit to Poltava I found this attitude disturbing. After all this is 2021 and the young staff have all been educated in Ukrainian. As a Canadian who has been working in Kyiv for many, many years you no-longer encounter this "Russian first" attitude among service staff in Kyiv. So it was very strange to experience this in Poltava which I thought was more Ukrainianized. Very disappointing....
