  : We were here late june23. This area is known for winter sports but also excellent for hiking in the spring/summer. The old hotel is like a museum. Lots of very old tools,furniture and pictures on display. The rooms are comfortable and the view over the mountains is breathtakingly beautiful. Breakfast is complete and tasteful. In the evening the a la carte menu is delicious and the wienerschnitzel is the best I had in a long time. Also plenty of vegetarian options available. Staff/owners (family owned business) are very friendly,smart and helpful people.
  : If I really have to mention something, Id say the breakfast area can become quite warm.

  : The breakfast was very good, but I would have preferred more fruit. The staff are fantastic, super helpful and genuinely friendly -- service at the half board dinner is excellent. Ski bus is right outside the front door.
  : This was our second year staying here and we returned because we were pleasantly surprised at the quality, especially the food in the evenings. There was a marked decline this year. Our parents joined for dinner in the evenings at a cost of 25/person plus drinks. If you are going to be charged restaurant prices, I expect more than frozen Brussels sprouts, broccoli, rosti, croquettes, etc. from the freezer section of the mini market down the street. Fish, baked potatoes, schnitzel, dumplings, soups were poorly prepared and overly salty. Veggie offerings in general and some desserts were lacking in preparation/freshness. In some cases this was school canteen quality. It is more acceptable at the 16 half board price. There was one night where the offerings were not interesting in the least and we ate at the pizzeria down the street for less money and better food. Unfortunately the rooms for two or three are tiny and arranged/constructed in such a way that you can hear everything said next door and above. This is less noticeable on the third floor where we stayed last year.
