  : The breakfast and evening meal were exceptional as always. Great choice and good value. Very convenient location. The staff were friendly, attentive and very efficient. Andy in particular is an asset to the hotel, and kindly arranged a surprise wee birthday cake for our grandson who was having a meal with us. The room was comfortable, with comfy bed and pillows. Alarm clock provided. There is a small car park behind the hotel, but if full, there is a large public car park a few metres away. If you're looking for good food, friendly staff, and don't mind the dated rooms, then this will be an ideal choice.
  : The only room available when we booked was a family room. We didn't know when booking that it was up a steep staircase to an attic room. Although we managed it okay, it might be difficult for less able guests, so it's something to be aware of. The room was clean, but dated and could do with a refurb. Eg, signs of black mould on the window frames and shower cubicle tray. The towels were clean, but had seen better days too. It wouldn't put us off returning though if we are back in the area.
