  : We did not book breakfast as we prefer to go local for all our meals. The location was extremely good, parking was never a problem and we loved the size of the room, quality of bed linen, quality of towels (there were plenty) and lots of hot water.
  : WiFi was patchy but they were working on improving it. When it was working it worked for 2 mobile phones a pc and an ipad.

  : This is a very characterful small guest house tucked away down a quiet side street (free on-street parking very close by) with lots of bars, cafés and restaurants nearby. We decided to book the Family Double room (for two of us) and were very pleased with our choice - the room (at the front of the property, with 2 big windows) was huge and charmingly decorated, full of character - the bathroom was tucked away behind doors that made it look like a cupboard. Lovely big and comfy bed, loads of storage space and we were pleased to have a kettle and tea/coffee-making facilities in the room (although finding somewhere to actually plug the kettle in was another matter....). Our hostess was charming and very welcoming (although the property is not staffed at night). Wi-fi in the public areas only, which were also lovely - there is a roof terrace but we didn't use it as was a bit chilly - it would be very pleasant in the summer. Breakfast not included. We applaud the lack of single-use plastic-bottled toiletries in the bathroom - but this being the case, the bottle of shower gel does need to be re-filled for new guests. We both slept really well.
  : See a few small quibbles above - plus if there was a noisy group using the public areas, you would hear EVERYTHING in the room, it's not very well sound-proofed - but then it is an old building and not a characterless modern hotel. Swings and roundabouts.
