  : The location of the property was great for our purpose (traveling all around the Black Forest). It is quite in the middle of everything and between two of the major villages of the area (Gengensbach and Bad Peterstal).The room was also impressive, the bed was huge and very comfortable and we had a private terrace.Having private parking was great too.
  : The owners did not speak a word of any other language than German. We speak French, English and Spanish fluently and it was absolutely impossible to communicate with them.They only accept cash Thats unacceptable bearing in mind that foreign ATMs may charge a fee if you want to withdraw certain amounts.

  : I notified the host that I would arrive late due to weather conditions, they said ok, however they cancelled my booking without notifying me :( So when I got there I was lucky someone else hadn't booked it meanwhile.

  : Good place to have a break from the stressful city life. We should highlight the hospitality from Rosa and her husband. They are lovely. The area around the hotel is wonderful.
  : The hostel is located on the main street of the town, but fortunately is well isolated from noise. The beds were not very comfortable (especially the pillows). The breakfast was just ok.

  : The bed was quite comfortable. That's all I can really say in terms of what I liked about staying at Pension Haus Rose; there was nothing else that I liked.
  : While Rosi and Alfred (the owners) are nice, they only speak German, not English, as was advertised on Booking.com. My German is very poor, so communication was much more difficult than expected.Also, the listing said that I would receive instructions to send a money transfer. I never did, but when I arrived, was told that cash was the only payment option (and I was not carrying enough cash with me to pay for a 7-night stay). It was embarrassing to arrive and not be able to pay until I could go find an ATM, and annoying that the information given was inaccurate.Next, the room wasn't great. After reading reviews, it seems like other rooms are better than the one I got, so I probably just got what I paid for. However, here's what I didn't like:- I expected there not to be a kitchenette in the room, but when I arrived, there were some kitchen things. It was just confusing, because it seemed like I could eat there if I wanted, but I couldn't keep food cold or heat it up or wash my dishes, unless I did it in the bathroom sink (and that's gross). (There is a microwave in a common area downstairs, but it's not plugged in, nor even situated close to an electrical outlet.)- The bathroom was small, which was ok, but the shower isn't separated by anything except a curtain, so when you shower, the whole bathroom floor gets wet.- My stay was in June, so the room got quite warm. You can open the windows to let in a breeze, but there are no screens, so you also let in bugs. The building is right next to the road into town, which is pretty busy and VERY loud, so if you want the windows open, you also need to put up with the noise (although even with the windows closed you can hear quite a bit of traffic).- The key seemed very generic, like any other guest might be able to unlock my door.In terms of location, Oberharmersbach is a very small town, with few options for anything.
