  : The only good point at Gasthof Ochsenwirt was the kitchen and the cook team. Food was exceptional and not too expensive. But we did not stay in the room type as we have booked. It did not look as the photos shown on bookingcom. We booked a double room with balcony but our room was located in the old building(not the new one) with an old fashioned and poor furniture and it seems that we get the worst one(or last room which was not refurbished) because in the other rooms (in the same building) furniture was newer with a better bed. Our bed was 10 cm higher from the floor , old and scrap. They charge us for the room at our arrival so that we could not refuse and leave. We spent two nights in a Lilliput room! The floor of the balcony was unstable, bathroom(renovated) but with a bathtub which took all space and it was difficult to enter in and out. Some bad designer who never thought that in a small place would be better to install a shower and thus create more practical and satisfactory design. The sink was at the door corner and toilet sit in the far corner. Extra sockets missing and not available in the room for charging mobiles or using other apparatus ( my husband needed for his breathing machine and I needed for hearing apparatus). Small room and old furniture make us unhappy. When we complained at the reception the women(seems to be a family business) at the reception answered us very badly, they were very harsh, claiming that all the rooms are furnished the same and that we received what we reserved. Seems that this is the result that we had Genius discount from bookingcom and then by using it we got the worst room in the guesthouse. My husband is 69 years old and has arthritis so it was difficult for him to get up and down from that bed. Definitely we will not come back again in that place. Besides the village is quite small and everything was closed.
  : Room condition; personal attitude at the reception desk: rude, unpolite and un-educated. No curtesy shown, no interest to make us feel welcome by gritting at arrival. One thing is shown in the pictures and the situation is completely different on site.

  : Friendly welcoming helpful staff. The room was a good size and clean. Parking right outside of the property. The food at dinner was very good indeed. The band playing at dinner time was great.

  : Very beautiful and authentic place. Great breakfast Real Alpen like experience.
  : Staff could be more informative, didn't tell us about the free water when checking in. And they forgot to mention that reservation is necessary for dining at the hotel restaurant Payment in bar/restaurant won't accept credit card payment below 10 EUROs WTF? How hard can it be to give change back in euros? All information is in german (room and booklets), no other language, which is a bit odd considering all the foreign tourist at the place. But all in all we had a wonderful stay.
