  : The location was great but other than that, nothing.
  : When we got our room, I was actually really pleased. Huge big bay window looking out to the sea absolutely very high ceilings. It looked really nice. However, even with the windows closed tight, there was a gale coming through the old fashioned, single paned windows. The curtains didn't shut properly so the room, even with heating on full, was freezing. The bed was very unconformable too. Went for breakfast in the morning and it was the most basic breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. The staff were miserable, the tea was cold and there was no coffee. Ended up going to weatherspoons.

  : Very helpful staff, perfect location, lovely building but like all old buildings it would cost a fortune to refurbish to today's standards and it is not financially viable .

  : The location right on the Waterfront at Oban is spectacular. There is much to see within walking distance from the Hotel and there are reasonable pubs for gathering with friends or meals.
  : Alas the Hotel is Great no more. It is an old building in need of refurbishment. It doesnt claim to be a 5 star hotel, nor are the fees really high, so we didnt expect fabulous luxury. However in many places the stair carpet is threadbare, it wont be long before this becomes a trip hazard. Our first room had a ceiling with a considerable bow to it and some cracks. Eventually we had rainwater leaking through. The staff were great and quickly moved us to another room, no leaks here, although when we first used any of the taps there was a lot of rusty water. Not really what you want when about to brush your teeth! This could be a fabulous hotel offering the most wonderful experience of Oban. Currently it needs a lot of work to make it a viable choice.

  : The place was very grubby carpets where really dirty the windows in the room where not fitting properly and let the strong cold wind into the room the shower did not work it was cold all the time when speaking to the staff at the desk in the hotel the member of staff said he could not do anything as he was on his own and the window would be repaired on the Saturday which never ever got done complete waste of money and wont be back

  : Run down old need total.revamp. past sell by date need millions some room tv very small no totally run down but needs millions do for old people but once dead new generation want all needs serious modification.
