  : We loved the location - just a block from access to the promenade that took us to Penzance, a block from the water, a block from the working fishing harbor and dock. Just a couple doors down from the artisan cheese shop (with fresh breads) and the green grocer. Just 2 blocks to the Co-op. The house was comfortable, including the beds, & the ability to heat the place over Christmas winter weather was suitable. I can't tolerate the cold and need to be able to warm up. The heating system performed nicely. I loved the kitchen! The host provided loads of cookware, so I was even able to bake my traditional Christmas morning pastry for my family. We had plenty of hot water, towels & linens. The tele worked just fine, and we even streamed a few movies. The internet worked well, and I was able to work remotely when I needed, during part of my stay. The living room furniture was comfortable. The living room table was large enough for us to do a jigsaw puzzle on. The dining room seating allowed for a large group (4) of us, some spreading out space, plus room for my laptop for working (I had the small bedroom so there wasn't space for me to work from my room.) The large bedrooms seemed roomy and comfortable. It was really nice that the house has two bathrooms.
  : For the first week there was a slight mildew smell to the entry hall. That cleared up the second week. We never figured it out as there did not appear to be any water leaks, or signs of damp on the walls. It could have been that the house had not been rented out for some time and perhaps the heating system was on low for an extended period. The odor did not disrupt our holiday. One of the shower heads lost pressure, and the maintenance came same day and provided a replacement shower head because it apparently had developed a crack and wasn't providing water at pressure. We were very pleased with the rapid response, especially since holiday closures could have delayed the repair.
