  : the location was excellent and bed was comfy. the staff was very kind
  : the room was small, the whole building needs an update, the hot water stopped working for almost a day, and we saw a cockroach the last day we were there.

  : The place needs maintenance, very pricey for the night we stayed there. Water system didn't work properly, I got in the middle of my shower and water was gone, have to get out and rinse with bottle water (waiting there for 15 min and no water). Not enough bath towels, fortunately was only me who had half shower Same with toilet, if you flushed it the most probably you'll losse pressure water on the faucet. I had reported the problem and a nice guy went to check on it, but he said it was because other people was taking showers... so nothing he do about it... Sofa bed was awful, had duck tape arround springs and one corner was torn and lose. No extra pillows for sofa bed. This place doesn't offer breakfast. Just coffee or tea.

  : Was informed the day of arrival that the Econo Lodge was permanently closed to the public. Was rebooked at the Hotel Tripp. The reservation had been in place for MONTHS and I spent quite a lot of money on theater tickets. I was traveling alone and it was a twenty block plus round trip walk every time I attended. The Tripp staff did not seem to be welcoming for the new reservations. Every button on the phone answered not available/mail box fullno control over ac unit. Was informed only private car service was available for airport ($65). No washcloths in the room. I WILL NOT be going back to the city and advising my friends the same. No wonder so many New Yorkers are moving to The Villages. Price of everything outrageous.

  : They have such a great location that it is a shame what they seem to be doing with the place. It desperately needs maintenance. We read that before booking, so we went already knowing it was gonna have some issues. But some were too much. Exposed nails on the floor where they cut a part of the carpet off, and there was just a towel on the floor to cover it (one wrong heavy step and somebody would need a tetanus shot). No hot water on the first day, TV didn't work and there was nothing to be done unless we changed rooms. Electronic lock did not work, so we just used the regular key. Some of the paint chipping off the ceiling and small room we can get by. We knew it was a simple place. But not even the simple stuff was working, so..... The nails on the floor were the "nail in the coffin".
