  : Beautiful country setting. Rooms were spacious, bathroom upgraded. Bottled Water provided. Plenty of parking. Food in the restaurant was AMAZING as was the staff, however, we waited over an hour and a half for our dinner, and over 30 min just for water.
  : No fans in room, no water boiler/coffee machine en-suite. Not soundproofed. If the restaurant is short staffed, reservations should be kept at a minimum, so that people arent waiting for extended periods for drinks and meals.

  : First of all I will write that we would love to come back. The hotel offers a very good breakfast with quality ingredients. I think everyone will find something for themselves. The selection can always be wider, but it suited us. The experience was a dinner that was really excellent, well thought out in taste in a beautiful place. Contrary to some reviews, we didn't mind that we had to go out into the winter in the morning and evening, actually the food was always associated with a small walk. The staff was very helpful and smiling. The castle has an atmosphere, and the fact that it is a bit shabby somewhere is part of it.
  : And now something less pleasant for other visitors. The photos show the castle and its surroundings in a better light than reality. The castle complex is connected by agricultural buildings and a quit busy road. The rooms aren't really cozy with only the bare essentials, however the bathroom was new and functional. You need to prepare for the ubiquitous stairs. We were traveling with our dog, his paws were slipping and we had to carry him. When allocating a room, it would be worth thinking about what it's like to travel with a dog. The rooms are not sound-proofed and, above all, there is no hall, so everything from the corridor can be heard right into the room. We didn't even try the wellness because it was in another building and very small.

  : The property is beautiful - a well-renovated castle! Our room at the top of the tower was clean and spacious. The location is quiet, but a short distance by car to Seiffen, which we visited for the Christmas market and shopping for the traditional decorations of the region. While small, the spa area was pleasant. We encountered only a few other guests in the morning after breakfast. This area likely becomes busier during high tourist seasons and in the evenings. The breakfast was as you expect for most hotels offering continental breakfast. While apparently under-trained, most of the staff on property was friendly.
  : We came to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, but left frustrated and deeply disappointed with our experience due to issues with lack of service and unclear policies. We messaged the hotel at 17:00 stating that we would arrive close to 19:00 due to severe weather. Only then did we receive the information email - 1 hour before the reception desk closed. It only operates from 8:00 to 18:00, including weekends. After 18:00, keys must be picked up from the restaurant. We were given the wrong room, but did not know this unti breakfast. We had also asked for an extra hour for check-out, which is common practice for special occasions. An 80 fee for a 14:00 check-out as the only option given. According to the guest info book, the fee is 50. Our room was in a separate building from the amenities. This is not a problem for us, but it would be helpful for guests with mobility issues, children or heavier luggage to know. Parking is also downhill from the buildings in deep snow and an unplowed lot. In the morning, guests walked down icy paths to dig out their cars while dodging the plow at 11:00. We were unable to eat at the hotel restaurant. It turned away hotel guests for dinner, because they had overbooked non-guest diners and did not have the staff to support business levels. This was extremely frustrating after driving 5+ hours (most of it in a snowstorm). Usually hotels notify guests that reservations are required or decline outside diners - this hotel did not. We left immediately (in the severe weather) to find the staff-recommended restaurant. It closed at 19:30 on a Friday. We searched for a third restaurant, in a third village. In this case, staff know the hours of operation of the other restaurant. A staffer told us he was sorry we could not eat at our hotel, but we had the WiFi password the most important thing. Had we not been hungry and exhausted, we would have used the WiFi to write this review before we even checked out.
