: The hotel is perfectly situated near to Wismar but in the middle of a peaceful countryside. The breakfast is excellent as well as the diner served in a wonderful dinning room. The rooms are very comfortable with nice relaxing areas. The bibliotheque is really a great place to be.
: the only thing which was a little disturbing was the bad connection from the room with internet. Seems to be a problem with all other rooms. The only place to connect was the bibliotheque.

: Beautifully renovated manor house in charming grounds. The staff were uniformly cheerful and helpful, and my room was both spacious and comfortable.
: Sadly, the Wi-Fi connection in my room flickered between non-existent and, at best, very poor. There is no excuse for this in an hotel these days.

: It is a perfect getaway for those looking for some peace and quiet for a couple of days. The restaurant dinner was great on both nights, the staff very helpful and friendly and clearly cared about the guests and the property. The beds were really comfortable and the room spacious and clean. The restaurant/cafe is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so people arriving on those days, must look for alternatives.
: No water boiler / coffee maker in the room. We were in the attic, so internet was spotty at times. The water in the bathtub wouldn't run properly, so one couldn't fill the bathtub. The breakfast runs only till 10, so if you want to sleep late, you won't get any. :)

: The restaurant staff (especially the manager and the waiter from New Dehli) were nice people, they meant well and were trying their best to make up for our overall experience. We liked the garden too.
: The manager of the hotel was our most negative point. We didn't like the fact that (especially during this corona situation) they make "tours" of the hotel to outside guests. So when we were sitting to have a "relaxing" tea at the end of the day, there were groups of ppl getting a tour, if you can call that a tour (like right in our faces). Also, as many other comments state, the standard room is less than standard, We were actually given the only room that is the smallest with a view on someone's parking, with the smallest window (that was broken) - room 18. Basically - he agreed to that - the rooms shown as "standard" on booking.com are not standard rooms in his portfolio. So even if I did ask before arriving "make sure I get one of the rooms shown in the pictures", he said he couldn't do it because they were not the same category. so this fake advertising is confusing to travelers. We had a few arguments about this but he was trying to prove his point in a quite arrogant way. Then said the hotel was fully booked anyway. But then later offered to upgrade us with an additional fee.. whatever. We refused as we just didn't want to argue at this point. Anyway, Because of all this and hair in my food, two nights in a row (the waiters were mortified), we were upgraded for the last night (in a room that had feet marks all over the room from a previous guest who probably had some cream or oil or whatever on his feet). The manager obviously did it because he had to, I believe it was not genuine. We actually felt a very fake vibe from him the whole time there. He acts like he is the king of his own castle and doesn't make us feel like actual guests. Working within the hospitality myself, there was a serious contrast between him and usual General managers. Another guest was complaining about this manager but told us he must be very close to the owners and will not be fired whatever we do.
