  : Fairly basic hotel, but nevertheless clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The spa area was nice, but a little expensive. I liked the 'honesty' fridge for water, soft drinks and beer.
  : In the spa there was no choice between male and female masseur.

  : Great location near the entrance to the town of San Jose. Supermarkets, restaurants, bars, beach and marina all within a short walk. Rooms clean and comfortable with a small balcony and fridge, air con and ceiling fan and room safe. Excellent breakfast - continental style including a selection of local produce. Small swimming pool but great to cool off.
  : Can't think of much - maybe another armchair would be useful. But that's about it.

  : No massage was available during a long weekend although it's a spa hotel. The bed too short.

  : The property was quite close to shops and restaurants in San Jose. The room was clean and comfortable.San Jose is an appealing small town with enough infrastructure to make for a pleasant stay.
  : The decor of the room was very dated and off putting. It only needs a quick makeover to make it more appealing. The balcony was very small in the room we stayed with a view over someones neglected backyard - not very enticing.

  : i liked the facilities and the bed was comfy
  : the main problem was one of the particular members of the staff. the women in morning on the reception and the male in the evening were both polite, but the woman during my stay that worked the afternoon was the rudest woman I had come across in San Jose and would not return to the hotel.as a benchmark, I stayed at casa Blanca (think that was the name) before and had an amazing stay.i visited San Jose to visit some friends which had recently moved to the town, I came alone so paid for a larger room as you cant get a discounted single person room and booked a room with facilities such as pool etc.when I arrived, I was situated on the ground floor which had a small balcony, which you could step over. next to it was the pool, on day one I stepped over the wall and the receptionist came out and started yelling at me, I explained that there was no sign you couldnt step over the wall so I didnt know.later on, me and my friends were going to use the pool as no one was using it, and she yelled again saying they could not use the pool. i said I wasnt aware as the other hotel we stayed at was fine with it, she said there was nothing we could do. i explained I paid for a larger room so why couldnt I add an extra name down on my booking, she reluctantly did this but then refused my other friend entry into the building, even when we popped in for 5 minutes to change clothes from the beach into restaurant ware, he would have to sit outside the hotel.when we had a problem with the pool, she explained that they needed to have the name down to use the facilities (pool and spa) that was fine, but based on that conversation we assumed we could also use the inside hot tub because she didnt explain it was an extra cost. we went down to look around, no one was on the door to the down stairs hot tub and we walked past the same woman who said nothing when walking downstairs towards the facilities but once we stepped in there.
