  : Casa Nave has an excellent location, in the old centre of Monopoli, a wonderful town by the sea. And this is, sadly, the only good thing I can say about it. Oh, wait, the wonderful pasticcerria Gasperini is a minute's walk from the property - if you really want to find something else to be positive about. And, truth be told, the property is well-kept and clean.
  : By far the worst thing about Casa Nave is the stairs you have to climb to get to some of the rooms. The steps are big and steep and there is practically no space if you want to carry your luggage - up or down. You need to be fit and young to climb those stairs, really. Beside, you need to be very careful because there are places you could hurt your head when climbing. Then, the room: very very small, with a view to a wall ten feet away, and with a Lilliput bathroom. The door of shower cabin offers has to remain open when showering - otherwise, you get bruises all over your body. There is no space to leave your things (shaving cream, razor etc.). Finally, breakfast is not breakfast, but just an assortment of sweets you find on the table. If you are a diabetic, there is nothing you can touch. Fortunately, we found a place close enough and had a "puccia" and a coffee each morning. But this is not "breakfast included" - no, sir, by no means.
