: The view of the lake from the room and terrace was superb. It is a beautiful place. Breakfast was excellent. And of course our hostess was very welcoming, always willing to help, even with the heavy luggage.
: Nothing about the villa. Lake Como is rather difficult to get around. It is very steep from the boat landings up to the road. Even in early summer the boats and busses were full. But that is the way of life in Como.

: Warning...do not stay at Villa Costanza. The description on the website for this villa, which says luxury, is very misleading. The location is isolating. You cannot safely walk to shops or restaurants. The villa is at the top of a steep hill and the grounds -- stairs and pathways to get to and from the villa from the street, are dangerous to walk. Broken steps. Slick pathways. Poor lighting at night. And there are no sidewalks. See photos. When I raised concerns about walking the stairs and pathways and falling (Im 59 years old), especially at night, the host walked away from me. She refused to hear my concerns. Furthermore, the host lied to the booking agency I used about my stay by marking me as a no-show so that I could not post a negative review. If she did that to me, I suspect she did that with other unhappy customers.
: Conditions of the grounds - stairs and pathways - are dangerous to walk, especially at night. The location is isolating. Can not walk to shops or restaurants. Other guests had a car, but we did not. It is very time-consuming to take the bus, which comes only once an hour. The host didn't offer us any other transportation options, as mentioned in other reviews.

: Uncomfortable round bed. Sub par breakfast. Inconveniently located from interesting towns we wanted to visit.
