  : Location, peacefulness, we walked into a beautiful warm and clean cottage to be greeted by flowers, biscuits, wine and milk in the fridge. What a lovely touch
  : If we were staying longer and needed to cook it needed a few extra utensils in the kitchen. The microwave is too complicated we never did work it out. However we would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you

  : A perfect family holiday home. We were meet by the very friendly host on arrival. The house was great, perfect for our family of 4 (2 young kids) The house is very cosy and finished to a great standard. located on a lovely farm just outside Melksham, and close to the canal. good size bedrooms, large kitchen with all needed. We would definitely stay here again, thank you.

  : Couldn't turn the hot water tap in en-suite off once you turned it on very stiff step out of shower high the fridge and freezer need to be replaced with a single unit very rocky one on top of the other light in oven needs replacing

  : We liked the scenery, location, the layout of the house as it felt modern. The views were stunning. Great space for parking. We liked the little touches of arriving to the house with fresh fruit and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The kitchen had all utensils that we needed with a dishwasher and washing maching.
  : We did not like the front door. As a curtain would have been a nice touch. As you walk straight into the living room from the front door and at nights can make the room feel cold and no privacy as can see straight in the house. The house can loose its heat very quick possible due to it being a conversion. But at winter time. Take warm clothes. We didnt like that on booking.com is said pets allowed when infact it is one pet. Made us unable to relax and enjoy our surroundings as a family, as one person had to leave the house to deal with our 2nd pet that we couldnt have in the property. As a whole we would have loved staying here but as i said we werent able to relax and use the property as a family holiday because we had to keep worrying about factors out of the house and all the rules within and careful not do do something wrong.

  : The owners were very nice and left milk and tea and coffee and lovely bunch of flowers. It was warm too.
  : Really sorry but: 1. The fridge had been replaced and was resting precariously on the freezer below - could have been quite dangerous. 2. The shower in the en-suite was very small and the the tap dripped in small washbasin. The toilet seat was unsafe. 3. A few of the dishes were chipped and a wine glass too 4. There was a step down from the kitchen to the lounge and a grap handle had been put either side of this and an additional step added. Whilst it was ok if a family had gone could see that being a problem for children. Also use Booking.com for convenience of being able to cancel if something happens. With Skyes cottages once you have booked that is it ...the money paid, I believe that they offer travel insurance ?
