  : Wachauerhof do not make it clear on booking that your room may be Unter dem Dach, and so in Summer will be very hot. During our stay outside temperatures were more than 30C and the temperature of the roof tiles close to the room very much higher. The hotel has only one set of duvets used for both Winter and Summer, so they are thick and could not be used in our case. There is no air-conditioning. We cannot comment on the staff, as we did not really meet any. On check-in we briefly met a young woman, and similarly on check-out. The restaurant staff consists only of those that do the washing up, and they are very noisy, banging plates so it is not possible to have a quiet meal. They starting laying out things for breakfast at 6:30 making plenty of noise and waking us up. Finally the hotel states on booking.com that "no prepayment is needed - pay at the property", but this is not true. Our bank statement shows that they took the money on the day when we made the booking, 4 days before arriving, apparently as soon as thet received the booking -- undue haste to get our money !
