Hotel-Garni Almhof is located on a meadow at the entrance to Mayrhofen just 150 metres from the centre. It offers rooms with a south-facing balcony or terrace overlooking the Zillertal Alps. Free WiFi is available. The free ski bus stops right outside and takes guests to the Penken Ahorn and Horberg Cable Cars in 5 minutes. On-site wellness facilities include a Finnish sauna infrared cabin steam bath sun bed massage shower relaxing room and a fitness area.

There is also a large garden with a pond children’s playground and a pavilion. Rooms also feature a seating corner and satellite TV. The large apartment includes a sun terrace. A buffet breakfast is served each morning at the Almhof. You can unwind in the winter garden or in the reading lounge.

: Good clean rooms; awesome views from the balcony; very nice & healpful owner and staff; good SPA area with 3 types of sauna; ski bus stop just in front of the hotel; walking distance from train station & city centre
: There could be a bit more variety at the breakfast; Though its not an apartment room type, still having a kettle would be nice

: Decent location, ski bus stop basically across the house (though the bus didn't pick us up to the lift that only time we needed it, it came to the stop already overcrowded). The rooms are OK, the balconies are very nice. WiFi works great. Spa area is good, though could be improved further with an addition of a tea pot like they do in other places I'd been to. Cleaning is done daily.
: Pretty poor facilities. The first time through my decades of travelling when there was not even a kettle in the room, not mentioning a fridge/minibar. Toiletries were not supplied either, even though the place is positioned as a hotel, not apartments. The breakfast is very basic - ham, cheese, bread, yogurt, juices, jam, tea/coffee. Oh, and one egg per person. Yep, exactly one. We had to ask specifically for more and were initially refused. It took another day and a separate conversation to resolve the eggs crisis. Very weird experience. If you have neck/back problems, bring your own pillows. A few people of our group woke up every day with aching necks - the pillows are very flat. The ski boots dryer didn't work one night, so the next day we had to ski in wet boots. Another time, the apple juice in the morning was clearly few days past its due date. In general, many small (?) unpleasantries that worsen your overall experience.

: The owner is a fantastic and very friendly lady. She's knowledgeable about the area and speaks very good English. The location is close to the town and close to many beautiful hikes.
: We really liked the Hotel and the area, but unfortunately, we just couldn't get used to the constant presence of house flies in the breakfast room.
