  : Just the location. We were 5 minutes away where we were during the day.
  : Dirty, very dirty. I believe I saw blood of some sort on the walls in the room. Carpet was dirty like it wasn’t vacuumed in forever. There was construction going on, which I understand that happens, but the mess of the construction was all over the place. They should still keep a tidy place for people to come stay. The rooms were filthy. Another thing they should at least keep nice and clean. I booked this place due to them having a pool and with kids, that was the ticket! But I was not notified that even the pool will be under construction. Fine, let the pool be out of order, but let your guests know ahead of time what is going on with the hotel. Let the people decide if they want to stay there. At least give people comp money off or something. I also stayed there due to the “continental breakfast”. The only thing was the pancakes that was appetizing. Not much to choose from. The bread was stale, and not much selection of anything else. We could of stayed somewhere else were we would of got what I would have and paid for, but again I was not aware of this and got my choice made for me by the hotel. I also paid a lot of money for my dogs to spend the nights. Wonderful, I am happy I was able to but really this could of been something they could of not charged me due to everything that was going on.

  : New carpet
  : We had new carpet and paint in the room but after remodel they did not clean the room properly. There was a layer of dust everywhere. We were not made aware of remodel. We were not made aware at time of booking that the pool was closed during remodel.

  : non smoking room smelled like smoke. Sign on hotel room wall stating that there would be a $250.00 charge if caught smoking in room. I told the hotel staff that the room smelled like smoke upon entering to make sure they would not charge me for the smoke smell. Hotel Staff responded that I would not be charged and that the room used to be a smoking room and they could not get the smoke smell out of the room. Glad that they didn't charge me, but too bad they don't take care of the hotel.
