  : Staff was very nice. Room was clean. Quiet location.
  : Location is isolated you need to wait for and take a bus to get to the city for a grocery store or restaurants. You are forced to buy breakfast (one Greek restaurant close by accepts cash only for dinner. You will pay more for it after the fact if you did not reserve ahead.

  : Very convenient location if you want to visit TU Mainz. Furniture is a bit old, but clean and sturdy.

  : It is a nice small hotel, with very friendly staff. Breakfast is ok, room is good for a short stay, location was great for me because I needed to go to the Uni campus for a conference. The parking at the hotel is free in general, but you need to be lucky to get a spot, so you can also reserve a parking spot in advance for 10 euros/day, or there is free parking on Draiser street just few steps away. In general it was a value for money and totally corresponds to its three stars. There is also a very good Greek restaurant in 3 min walk.
  : what was advertised as a gym is not exactly a gym - just 2 broken cardio machines and a sandbag in a very small claustrophobic room in a basement... I would not advertise it at all if i was a property manager - you create expectations, but you only give frustration to your customers when they come and see it... restaurant at the hotel is closed, at least it was closed those 2 days that I stayed...although it was still advertised as open at the hotel website.

  : Hotel Roemerstein offers good value for money. Rooms are neat and in good condition. Nice variety of choices for breakfast, albeit simple. I particularly enjoyed the proximity to the University campus in Mainz. Excellent location.
  : A tiny bit on the down side is that the rooms on the ground floor (Erdgeschoss) are not very well insulated from what is going on at the reception desk. At times the activity there continued until after 11 p.m.

  : Hotel Roemerstein is a family run small hotel situated in a quiet location close to Mainz University with easy assess to the city centre and the friendly helpful staff.
  : We had a small bedroom and the bed was placed against one of the bedroom walls therefore I had to crawl to end of bed in order to use the bathroom during the night without disturbing my partner, would bed to have access at each side of bed.
