  : First and foremost the location, which is excellent. The Retiro garden and Prado museum are within an easy walk, as are multiple bus and metro lines. Numerous cafes and bars are just minutes away. The building is stylish and the apartment is tastefully decorated and mostly well equipped. There are two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Communications with the owner were fluid.
  : The bathroom and kitchen fittings a bit outdated. It was hard to regulate the water temperature in the shower.

  : Springs coming through couch . No surface to prepare meals. Construction right above my bed for 3 days starting at 7 am. 10,12,14?? Marble slippery steps to get to lift when I have limited mobility. I was told to take garbage down at 8 pm....no garbage receptacle available. Neighbors very loud... Turns out they were ALSO people renting from my same host. Ironing board is table top....try ironing a dress on this!! I could continue with many issues, but I would. Simply say, ASK QUESTIONS....MANY QUESTIONS before paying $$ for this. Found it VERY strange that owner never contacted me as to how I was doing. NO NOTEBOOK with explicit directions to use appliances. After traveling 35hours, NO, I CAN'T remember your suggestions. If you are thinking of renting here, PLEASE ask questions....many questions. Yes, I left a package of chocolate truffles with a thank you note, because I am a classy person. That doesn't mean my experience was good.

  : This apartment was located in a beautiful classic building in the heart of Madrid. We stayed on the 4th floor and accessed it by using either the stairs or the charming old school elevator. This apartment is very close to the Metro and Cercanas stations and only a 5 minute walk from many museums. We were provided with a drying rack which was very helpful after using the washing machine. We appreciated the large dining table since we ate many of our meals in during our stay. We also liked that each bathroom was attached to each bedroom. One other thing we appreciated was our host was very responsive to our needs.
  : If you are planning on preparing meals during your stay, please note the small size of the kitchen and the knives were not very sharp. Also, The plates provided were too tall to fit into the dishwasher so we used the bowls for our plates. One thing that would have bee nice to have was a hot pad for getting things out of the oven. Lastly, it is important to note that the water heater was sufficient for 2 showers. There were 4 of us so we had to stagger our showers.
