  : The room was small but very comfortable. It was lovely to have quality tea/coffee etc rather than the normal PG tips! Linen, towels etc all of good quality.
  : Appreciating that I did not make use of the online check-in, I was left waiting a long time at the reception on arrival having been guided there by a staff member. Eventually someone arrived only to tell me that I should not have been taken to reception as she was working behind the bar! Having dropped my bags in the room I went to the bar and was offered to have my drink brought outside to me. Again, I waited over 15 minutes before I went back in to find it. There was no apology given. When I ordered another couple of glasses later, I was told it would have been cheaper to have bought a bottle . No doubt a truism but not helpful after being charged for the 3 separate glasses! Breakfast was tasty and the service very friendly and efficient however it would have been nice to be able to order a range of things such as fruit/croissant as well as the cooked food. The impression was definitely that we could only have one item off of the menu. This is a lovely venue and it was magical sitting there with the ponies wandering past the window and a little more customer service oriented approach would turn a good venue into a brilliant one.

  : The bedrooms and decor was nice, the breakfast was good and location was good
  : The food in the evening was below standard we couldnt eat it, there was no fish in the fish and chips and my pasta wasnt edible.The bar closed early so us and other guests were asked to leave but there was no where to go except your room at 9pm!! There was also no stand up shower which in this day and age seemed crazy the bath was huge and would take forever to fill up hardly sustainable.
