  : Stayed for three nights while visiting London for the Taylor Swift concert at Wembley. The room was spacious enough for 2 people and the bed was comfy. Close to Hyde Park & numerous public transportations. Queensway Tube Station roughly 5 minutes walk away and Lancaster Gate about 10 minutes walk the opposite way. The hotel itself is clean and tidy, the lobby is located on the 1st floor of the hotel and the location is fabulous for going in to central London. Small waitrose at the corner of the hotel which was good for a cold drink and snacks for the hotel room.
  : The lifts are tiny, you can only fit 2 people although it does state 4. Air con didn't work well in the room and the room window was locked with a broken handle and due to the heat outside it wasn't ideal. Called reception who asked me to come down as they couldn't understand my Scottish accent. Finally got the maintenance team up to open the window which could only open one way due to the broken handle. We used the green tag on the door handle as we didn't need the room cleaned to save energy but when we went back at night time, the sheer curtains had been opened wide even though we closed them before going out. Didn't feel safe at the neighbourhood, walked to Queensway for a bite to eat and my partners phone was stolen but a lady begging for food and money at our table. Definitely keep your belongings next to you at all times, wear a mobile phone lanyard and your bag under a jacket.

  : Great location with 2 tube lines minutes apart from each other, not far to get to Nottinghill area.and if you’re on the top floor in an odd number room, the view is great !
  : It’s a little dated but, when it’s clean & comfortable, that doesn’t really matter! Air con didn’t seem to work well in room

  : Do not confuse this hotel with the Thistle Marble Arch, which is an excellent hotel. The Thistle Hyde Park, also known as Thistle London Hyde Park Kensington Gardens, is not a 4-star accommodation and lacks basic amenities such as shower caps, etc. After our stay, I would rate Thistle Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens as 2 stars.Our room on the 7th floor was a standard double room, which was explained to us after we expressed our concerns. After traveling for over six weeks throughout the EU and UK, this was the worst accommodation we stayed in. We couldn't even fit or place down two 73cm cases in the room. The room is poorly configured and dated, we stayed 7 nights at a cost of 1,770 GBP ~ 3,400 AUDFor two days, we were without soap in the soap dispenser. I even removed the dispenser and placed it on the floor near the towels, but this still wasn't a prompt for the staff to refill it. Instead, they just picked it up and placed it back without refilling it. I still can't understand their actions, especially considering we left a daily tip which they took.The noise from adjacent and adjoining room doors was another issue with this accommodation. On a positive note, the English breakfast was good, and the waiter was friendly and experienced.Overall, it was a poor experience, and we will not consider this so-called 4-star modern accommodation again.
