  : I was visiting my son who studies at Bangor, and was glad to find a room where I would be able to prepare my own food and keep basics in the fridge. It was rather difficult to relax in such a bright, stark room, especially as there was no bedside cabinet or lamp, but the room was clean and in good order (except for a cracked mirror which did not bother me). I have worked in university accommodation so knew the kind of room to expect and knew that the mattress may be rather basic and hard (which it was).
  : The whole experience was so much hassle! First you have to prove your identity online, then there's a complicated and unnerving payment process involving clicking on links in texts (which in my case was done wrong; a deposit of £60 was added to my first bill but I was then asked to pay a £50 deposit separately which I had to contest). Then I had to be really specific about arrival time meaning several phonecalls and texts throughout an unpredictable train journey disrupted in storm Arwen. Then even during my two-night stay I had more calls checking how things were and asking if I wanted to extend my stay. All in all I've counted 14 messages Booking.com app (each of which also came directly to my email so appeared twice in Gmail) and 5 calls on my iphone, as well as several texts between myself and the nice lad who let me in.And now I'm nervously awaiting refund of my deposit. I wish I'd just spent that extra £60 booking in somewhere nice.

  : For two nights we had the most uncomfortable sleep. We could feel the springs in the mattress. We suffered with a sore back for days requiring medical attention. It’s a student hall so we could hear noises , music and people talking throughout the night. One guy was standing outside our window smoking ! The shower leaked. And we informed the guy who checked us in and he responded after we checked out ! We also complained to the the company who seemed like an agency and they didn’t help in finding us a new room either ! They kept saying they are waiting for the staff on the ground to respond, well obvious their staff on the ground won’t respond because he seemed like a uni student too ! They got back to us after we checked out too, asking when do we check out !!?. Considering we both paid over £100 for physio after sleeping on that mattress , and not being able to sleep for two nights , they refunded us £5 !! It’s a joke. We paid over £150 for the most uncomfortable stay and it ruined our holiday to wales because I couldn’t hike the next day with a sore back ! I would avoid this property at all cost if you want a good nights sleep !
