  : The rooms were spacious, staff were very friendly and it was in a great location.
  : I imagine once it would have been a beautiful hotel, however it needs a lot of work.We had to change rooms because the air con was incredibly noisy and old.It also smelt a bit damp.

  : Plenty of space so social distancing was easy. Dining room/restaurant accommodated this well too. Reception was a little cramped but fortunately we arrived early evening so not many about. Staff were able to find dairy free ‘butter’ for me at breakfast (but for some reason not at dinner
  : Not all lifts were working and the one that was was for ascending only. Ok if you are able to manage stairs coming down - fortunately we were only on the first floor. The carpet in our room was wet, which we reported on the first morning. Not sure if this was addressed though, as walking across the room without shoes still meant wet socks. Not sure if this was down to the set up in the bathroom, as you stepped up into the shower but there was nothing to stop water from escaping onto the bathroom floor while in there. We also found that one side of one the curtains was hanging off the rail (which we could do nothing about due to the height of the window) and the hairdryer didn’t work. Unfortunately I forgot to point these out to the staff.

  : The DBB was a good value for money package.The staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful, and the food was good. We had forgotten our toothpaste and the reception staff/manager organised for some to be brought to our room as I couldn't go to the shop myself as it was too late and I had just bathed my daughter and got her ready for bed.
  : There was a lingering smell of cigarette smoke in the room and all of our unworn clothes from the suitcase smelt of smoke when we unpacked at home I didn't sleep well as there was a constant noise of flushing water when people from other rooms flushed their toilets. I mentioned it to reception on checkout and still haven't heard anything from the manager as was promised.
