  : Not well kept and the bathroom is always dirty. If you are a light sleeper this will be very problematic for you since for some reason the walls are unexpectedly thin and you can hear everything from the street. One toilet for the entire floor and sometimes the water isnt hot to shower. The kitchen is also shared and people will steal your food even if labeled. Theres a lot of ants in the kitchen and everything js very old and sticky.

  : Their clerk did not put our key in the afterhours lock box, despite receiving full payment. So on May 8, 2024, I slept on their lobby floor on top of several t-shirts and dresses that I laid out. The lobby floor is stone, so it was very cold - a poor night's sleep for my first day in Portugal. The only good news is that I could walk up to use the communal bathroom during the night --- anyone can --- even if you aren't staying at the hotel. The lobby door doesn't close properly so any homeless person can wander in. At 8:00am. the unfriendly hotel receptionist came in, and finally, I got a room key. The beds turned out to be thin, so I could feel the springs, still it was better than the stone floor. The communal bathrooms are open --- anyone can walk in and see you taking a shower if they wanted to.
  : I am in the process of contacting booking.com, Wallis Sao Bento ,the Portugese tourist office and my attorney (my sister-in-law). This hotel should not be allowed on booking.com if they do not have a better process to give keys to fully paid guests. This hotel needs to join the 21st century and switch to key cards. The hotel is obviously having problems and operating on a shoe string budget. They are milking it for what they can get.

  : Walls are not insonorized and, as there are multiple shared services, you can hear water pipes, stove cleaning, walking, etc...It is probably very dependent on the floormates and the room.

  : Great location.
  : Poor wifi. Very uncomfortable beds and bad shower.

  : Spacious room and bathroom. The bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful.
  : There was a bad odor in the bathroom. We had the room next to the kitchen, which on our 1st night was was very noisy past midnight. We had to ask to change rooms to be able to sleep, which helped, but you could still hear the squeaky kitchen door.

  : The hall way, restrooms ,and shower room were too dark. Whenever I used those facilities,I felt scared because the lights illumination was dark. Maybe they tried to save electricity.
