: 'The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The bed was very, very comfortable and I didn't experience any lower back pain (which I am prone to). Towels were generous and plush. Water pressure was good in the shower. Our room which fronted on the street had nice balcony doors that opened to let fresh air in. The room was mostly very quiet and peaceful. The location of the hotel is wonderful. The decor of our room and the rest of the hotel is beautiful and luxurious. It was a good place to stay with friends - there was a very comfortable living room/lounge on the same floor as the bedrooms where we could gather, talk and plan. Coffee (including decaf), tea, bottles of water and cookies were always available in the dining area. Bottles of water were provided every day in our room as well. Breakfast was good (but not offered early enough - see "cons" below)- all kinds of toasted/heated breads, cheeses, charcuterie, condiments, fruit, yogurt and granola were available - and one of the days we were there the staff offered and made us wonderful scrambled eggs. There is also a very good Turkish-Portuguese restaurant attached to the hotel that is worth dining at.
: Breakfast wasn't available before 9:00 a.m., which was too late for us for two of the four days we stayed - we had to be up and out for tours. Food was made available to us - left in the refrigerator for us - but it was not as nice or varied as the breakfast that was provided after 9:00. The plexiglass shield in our bathtub shower was too small to adequately protect the floor and surround from getting wet unless you actually held the showerhead while you showered (rather than place it in the overhead bracket). No wastebasket in the bedroom. No tissues. (My allergies were acting up so these last two were noticiable.) I should mention that there is no lift to get to the 1st floor where the bedrooms are, BUT the stairs are very shallow and I found it easy to go up and down even though I have bad/weak knees.
