  : The location is fantastic! Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean.
  : The restaurant I Grusoni: Part of the staff wasnt friendly at all!We were 4 people and when we asked them to put 2 tables together at the front they said we cannot because the processes does not allow to have 2 tables together at the front. But then on a different night they were willing to break process when some clients ask to smoke as we were only 2 tables in the whole restaurant.My point is that they are not consistent for a 5 start hotel. It shouldnt be about processes but about bespoke treatment to their customers. And that I didnt experience at the hotel.

  : Fantastic location and personnel. Two restaurants with a Michelin star as well as two more without (even if one of them is under the general supervision of one of the star chefs). The view from our very pleasant room was breathtaking.
  : The first part of our stay was perfect, but on the last day what I assume was a tour group arrived and the place became quite noisy and rowdy, which somewhat diminished the feeling of relaxation that the resort instigates.

  : The hotel was pretty incredible, swimming pools & view are unbeatable and you have access direct into the ocean too. Rooms were lovely too.
  : Everything was fantastic aside from the food, we booked the Michelin starred L'Arcipelago and immediatley left because the atmosphere was so dreadful (can't comment on the food as we didnt eat there!). The Grusoni restaurant was a beautiful setting but it was very average & overpriced, everywhere else in Sicily we ate vastly better food for the same price or less, you're paying for the view. My only other gripe was they charged 30% onto the bill for pool service which we literally next to the bar. 30% seemed a bit steep...

  : The hotel is stunning. Upon arriving its actually breathtaking the views and architecture. Beautiful rooms, lovely spa, staff are attentive, shuttle provided to my husband out of hours to climb the volcano. Pebble beach area is beautiful so dont miss it. The food at Il Cappero could not be better or a more memorable experience. The chef re-designed my eight course tasting menu to accommodate a fish allergy which was great.
  : Besides the rooms everything very overpriced for what it is. 25 euros for almost all cocktails, none of which were memorable, along with a 20% surcharge for basically drinking by the pool (they said its for delivery to umbrella but even when we walked up to the bar we were charged the 20%). Feels like you are constantly being pushed to spend 200 euro plus on bottles of wine. Frequently prices are not told until you get the bill. Dinner at Cappero was amazing but at Larcipilago purposely ordered meat menu as have a fish allergy and was horrified to take a bite into an anchovies dish.

  : Top location with breathtaking and indeed unique view on the sea, the eolian islands and the volcano. Very good and caring staff. Our room (Vulcano suite on 3rd floor "with full sea view)" very nicely designed. Breakfast was excellent. Nice vegan restaurant, we enjoyed the 13 course menue.
  : No shadow on the large terrasse of our suite. Seaview in our room only when you stand up, NO seaview when you sit on either one of the chairs in the room or on the terrasse or on one of the sunchairs on the terrasse as the ceiling of the terrasse is so high, that you only see against the concrete ceiling. No privacy to the neighboring rooms on the terrasse. There is some noisy fan starting to run from 08:20 to late night that seems to come from a ventilation close to one of the outer restaurants so the big terrasse of our suite was almost not useable. Lot of area on ground level of the hotel with chairs but no shadow. Music at the pool bar and restaurant a bit too loud and rocky. The refurbished entrance hall has been recently repainted in a ugly light green that does not invite to sit in the lobby, despite being architecturally well designed. Prices of rooms, restaurants and the bar are too high throughout.

  : 1. Staff were very friendly and attentive 2. The Spa facilities were very nice and relaxing 3. The balcony was a great place to relax 4. The room was kept to a good level of cleaning and we were not disturbed when requested 5. The views and location was beautiful
  : 1. The food in the restaurants did not have enough options/variety. The menu's were quite restricted and limited, especially if you can not eat seafood. Having to ask for special requests all the time is uncomfortable and it means we don't know if they'll be able to make what we'd like or not 2. Even though the staff were very friendly there was definitely some communication break downs between them. Quite a few times during our stay we're ask for something specific in regards to the food and it would not be done correctly. These would often be something quite simple (Like no mayonaisse on a sandwich, or eggs cooked well done) and it looks like either the waiter did not tell the chef, or the chef just made the food exactly as they always make it without looking at the request. The waiter then did not check that the food had been done as requested before bringing it out. 3. In line with the above point, often at breakfast a waiter will bring out a coffee or egg that has been specially requested and you'll see them trying to work out which table it's meant to be going to. My coffee got delivered to the wrong table once and twice it took quite a long time to get it and i'd already nearly finished my food. 4. The information given by the staff member on Day 1 needs to be more detailed and thorough, detailing all of the parts of the resort which are included and how it works. The waiter should also inform that the QR code on the menu is a completely different set of options than from what's printed in the physical menu. We were not aware of this until half way through our stay and don't often use QR codes. 5. When asking staff for information they'd always be very kind, but often didn't know the answers and need to go and speak with someone else and still then the information may be incorrect. Eg. Where can we eat steak? and they directed us to the breakfast restaurant, where as actually it was the other one.

  : The location, food and the service from the staff is absolutely superb. You cannot fault these things, all 4 restaurants serve delicious and high quality food and the wait staffs attention to detail is excellent. The rooms are more than adequate, the minibar is complementary as well which is a nice touch.
  : It's difficult to not become picky when you are spending a lot of money somewhere and some things may never happen to those reading the reviews: - for 2 days we were there, there was a crane boat shifting huge stones for the sea wall, blocking the view and making loads of noise in front of where you sunbathe by the pool. They started quite early and I was awoken to some quite large bangs when they started working at 8am. We were not made aware of this work being undertaken, certainly not told in advance, the boat just arrived and started to do it's work. This meant for the first 3-4 days we were unable to swim in the sea like all their advertising states. Bearing in mind the resort is shut for half the year, it just felt a bit ridiculous they were doing maintenance work during their summer season. - 2 instances we were woken up (at 9am so it wasn't like we were being particularly lazy since breakfast finished at 11am and we were there to chill) by the cleaners wanting to service our room... it seemed a little early to me.
