  : Having stayed 12 months previously two adults and two dogs. Had paid for two nights in advance informed on arrival no dogs change of policy no pets allowed. Not made clear on booking form. The hotel is in its self a dirty smelly dump run by likewise staff. Recommended by booking.com who seriously need to review this hotel as its giving themselves a very bad name. AVOID TOTALY STAY AWAY..

  : Good communication and accommodating to requests.Larger room and comfortable bed.
  : Food was not really very good with dinner although relatively tasty the nssn bread was in fact a mini bread, quite solid and tasteless.Breakfast was small with the egg and bacon over cooked and the hash brown under done and like warm. Pity as the room and service were really good

  : it was close to where we had to be.
  : on arrival we noticed it looked a little off compared to previous visits. People drinking in the car park arguing and young kids playing kicking ball around (11:30pm) for reference. the front door there was around 20 prams, kids bikes and other stuff which we found a bit strange. there was also a table stacked with food containers so we thought maybe a party as this was previously a venue for parties etc. Checked in and PAID MONEY we then headed up to our room opened the door to find a complete bomb site as if people had just fled, windows opens and leaves all over the floor, dirty bedding everywhere and the most bare disgusting mattresses I have ever seen. my partner went to reception to ask to be moved and we were told sorry, Ill put you in one of the council rooms we were paying to stay in what was being used as a homeless hostel where people were staying in and being fed for free! I think this is a great idea but I do not agree that we were not told about this and the booking was kept! twice I was asked by other people if I could help them with money. I was asked if I could help someone fill out a form and when I had my bags waiting to check out I was asked how many days I had been there and if I now had a house! the room was cheap and basic which I knew it was but you should not be allowing these bookings to go through without making people aware. we were completely on edge the whole weekend this is no longer a hotel it is a HOMELESS HOSTEL. we travelled from Scotland to England for the young lad on reception to tell us contact the council and you wont have to pay and youll also get meals paid bit really acceptable! at short notice we had no other option but to stay there but I am extremely angry with this situation!! are booking.com even aware of this? as we with a small child in tow certainly were not

  : Not how it used to be. Used to live in Leigh and Greyhound Hotel was better back then. No breakfast available now, very basic and didnt look or smell clean. Bath had hairs in it. People smoking in the hotel on our floor. Very strong smell of smoke
