  : Good location close to several restaurants and pubs - easy walk to a choice of restaurants. There was a helpful list of local restaurants and map in the room.Accommodation was clean and comfortable with a double bed plus a single bed for our son. We stayed on our way home from the Lake District so we could easily get to Alton Towers the next day (just 20 minutes away). The breakfast was lovely and the owners very friendly.
  : It's located next to a fairly busy road and there was a construction site opposite but we didn't notice traffic noise into the night.

  : Both hosts were very surly, both to myself and I observed it in their interactions with other guests as well as with myselfThey watched me struggle up some steps with my suitcase - I use a walking stick, only offering help after Id climbed them!They pointed out where I needed to go, around the corner, for the breakfast room; but didnt tell me there were three steep steps to reach the door. There was no offer of a level access entrance to the room.When I enquired about the time for breakfast, I was spoken to like I was a little schoolgirl, heavily reminding me what time I needed to leave their property! I wonder if they have no idea how poor their people skills are.I am usually a heavy sleeper but noise from the room above - doors opening and closing and creaky floorboards - and traffic outside kept me awake for ages.The shower didnt work!! They insisted that it did, implying that I was not observant enough to operate it. I am a very observant person, I need to be in my professional job. But they insisted that I was the first person in ten years who had had difficulty with the shower. Considering their extremely negative and surly reaction to my comment, I suspect many previous guests had been unable to operate the shower but dare not mention it!!
