  : Proximity to the lake and other attractions was great! Area in general is beautiful. Pool and lake activities were a lot of fun. Local state parks made great day trips.
  : The house was ok, but several updates would vastly improve it for rentals: 1) replace sofas that are old and sunken/uncomfortable, 2) buy a keurig to replace the 1950s percolator, 3) provide nicer patio table and chairs to replace the picnic table (deck/setting are beautiful, but seating is not amenable to relaxing outside on the deck), 4) enlarge the upstairs shower (current one is tiny, yet there's lots of unused floor space in that bathroom; tub looks nice but is impractical to use except by little kids - overhead hanging tub lights seem like a hazard), 5) buy some larger coffee mugs (I bought & left 2 larger ceramic mugs for the next renters; existing ones were very small and/or plastic - not appropriate for a decent cup of tea/coffee), and 6) lubricate the front door so it doesn't screech when it's opened.
