: Lovely peaceful spot . lots of privacy, beautiful views. Interesting house and reasonable sized pool. Friendly, well behaved cats ( part of the Cretan experience)but don't feed them if you're not keen on their company
: A shower fixed at head height would have been good. The kitchen was a little too "compact and bijou". which made it difficult for more than one person to be preparing meals. However, it was well equipped. Dishwasher was a bonus

: Bedbugs at Villa Dafni (Listaros) Our stay at Villa Dafni (Listaros) was overall nice and enjoyable. However, we realized a few days after coming back home that our luggage was infested with bedbugs (coming from the villa) which unfortunately spread into our home. The bites that we had on our body which were initially thought to be mosquito bites, were in fact bedbugs bites as confirmed by a doctor. We therefore hired Rentokil (a pest control company) to inspect our home, and it appeared that 3 rooms were infested as well as the luggage that we had during our stay at Villa Dafni. In the end, the inspection + disinfection fee amounted to a total of 1.222,10 EUR as a direct result of the bedbugs we brought back from the villa. We therefore tried to get in touch with the owner (https://www.cretanvillas.gr/): 1) To warn them about this problem in Villa Dafni, so they would take the necessary measures to eradicate it and hopefully, prevent other travelers from having the same unhappy consequences as we did. 2) To discuss with them about a possible compensation that usually occurs between a hotel and a customer, in an amicable agreement, when such kind of incident happens. All the documentary evidences (ie. Rentokil inspection report and invoice) were sent to the owner by email in order to prove the facts. We also called them over the phone to discuss the problem in an amicable way but the conversation was cut short with answers like what are bedbugs ? or we will respond later. Of course, still no answer to this day. We know we have no recourse, but we hope that this comment will at least prevent other travelers to suffer from the same problems by staying at Villa Dafni (or other villas of the same company) due to the lack of ownership and goodwill of the owner.
