  : The kitchen was well equipped. The lounge was comfortable and the bed rooms. The garden was pleasant.
  : The kitchen whilst well equipped was quite small as was the bathroom. We did expect this.

  : Well located in the beautiful Eden Valley and just around the corner from the New Crown Inn - an excellent pub restaurant. The cottage is well equipped and cosy with a lovely neat garden at front and rear with a small patio and comfortable outdoor furniture. The stove was well-stocked with fuel to burn and we appreciated fresh eggs left for us. Great walking from the front door and nearby. Owners next door keen to help if there are any problems. Appleby golf course only 10 minutes away is excellent, very friendly with good facilities, and genuinely welcoming to visitors.
  : Took us a while to work out how the electric heating works and we should have asked the owners for advice earlier as we did find it cold initially. There is a log-burning stove but we chose not to use it as were were in and out a lot and didn't need it that hot in June. It is a small cottage but very smartly furnished to maximise usage of space. All the ornaments around made the cottage feel homely but we would have been happy to have more free shelf space.
