It was deceitful. 3) student staff not properly trained ,very poor service at breakfast 4) ran out of basic ingredients as sugar . 5) veranda roof leaking during rainfall 6) limited breakfast menu

  : Great bed and rooms. Wonderful location. Friendly staff.
  : Restaurant was under staffed. Servers were slow but kitchen was fast and food was good. Unfortunately, breakfast was terrible. There were very few customers and we werent served our order after waiting an hour so we got up and left.

  : The location is great! I also really enjoyed the dinner I had during my stay. The staff are very nice and accommodating. Parking is easy and I appreciated the room details.
  : I felt that the price for my room was way to high. I paid over $500/night for a room that should have been $300 or less. Room was very small and needed some TLC. Limited breakfast menu made it so I could not eat breakfast onsite.

  : We enjoyed the attendants who put up our chairs and parasols and gave us water and sundries We also enjoyed the van to go to and from Kennebunk port for dinner. The driver was charming.
  : The breakfast was not in keeping with the price of the accommodations. It was delivered to our door in a paper bag for the three days we were there ,with the same two slices of non descript blueberry cake with two small orange juices . Same breakfast! Three days in a row! I said is that all you have and they responded ,well we have a la carte breakfast at the restaurant .

  : We enjoyed the location even though you must take a car into Kennebunkport. The Goose Rocks Beach was directly across the street and even though we were not partaking in beach activities in October, the sunrises were spectacular from that spot! The neighborhood surrounding the property is well kept, quiet and beautiful for taking walks. I imagine the Inn would be hugely popular in the summer months! The rooms were clean, bathrooms updated and beds were comfortable. Plenty of toiletries were provided. The Inn feels much like home, with enough public gathering spots for your group. We enjoyed the fireplace in the morning and evenings. The restaurant, which is situated in the lobby, bustles with locals and visitors each night. We dined there twice during our stay and were well pleased with our meals each time. The haddock was the groups favorite meal of our trip to Maine and Massachusetts. The staff at the Tides is exceptional in our opinion. From guest services, to the servers and bartenders, and maintenance staffthey were all friendly and helpful. This made our visit seem even more like home!
  : Breakfast was nice, featuring fresh breads, yogurt, cereal, juice and coffee. A protein option would have been nice, perhaps hard boiled eggs or cheese. But Im looking for improvements, the breakfast was certainly enjoyed. If you are an early riser, note that breakfast isnt open until 8:00, but they have a coffee maker and oat bars on the second floor landing which was greatly appreciated. Also for us early risers (5-6!) on chilly mornings, it would have been lovely to have had the fireplace available to turn on. But I understand that is something best left to staff to control. Staff arrives around 7:00am. There is no elevator. One previous reviewer said the elevator was broken, so I thought there was one. Thus, be aware if you bring large luggage, you will be taking it up narrow stairways to the rooms.
